birthday registry

i was bugged by a few close friends that i don't spend my birthday in vancouver and let them celebrate w/ me.
yeah.. this year, i just wanna hide away, think abt my life, and enjoy my life w/ another very close friend in calgary.
a quiet birthday... which has never been happen to me.
seem like giving too much trouble to friends around me for organizing a bday party or dinner for me.
last yr, there were almost 20 people eating hotpot! crazy. n i don't get to talk to each of them.
just, hi, happy birthday. thank you. busy? yes very. when will u graduate? i hope next yr la... birthday wish? peace come to the world. hahaha... then it's cake cutting, gift presentation and photo session.
i don't mean i don't like it. i've once very enjoyed it as i can celebrate w/ those i treasure a whole lot in my life.
but somehow, i treasure more the meaningful time w/ them.
some real chat abt what's going on in our lives.
some questions that i had in mind that i wanna be answered.
some secrets sharing.
some opinions sharing.
small group. not large group.

in conclusion, instead of buying me sth that just sit in my room or hang on my body, i guess u can do sth more meaningful.
• share w/ me stories of u that i've never known, sth happened recently or in the past. but it has to be real.
• share w/ me your dreams and stuff that u need a listener for. but make sure i have time n it doesn't have to be 6 hrs long.
• tell me a joke. make sure u can make me laugh.
• a big big hug... a very long long hug... n if u r a male, make sure your other half was hugging me at the same time too. n if i cry, make sure i stop crying b4 u let me go.
• take a picture w/ me so that i'll remember u as my friend.
• pray w/ me or pray for me can already warm my heart.
• an e-card, a phone call or just by remembering n pray for me in your heart, is a very decent present already.
are these very hard to do? well.. i guess.. it just takes some of your time. that... $$ can't pay for.

I think you wrote down some of the reasons that I didn't bother to organize anything for my own birthday. All I want for birthday is to celebrate with my family and loved ones. Friends who like to throw big party have good intentions but it's just not my style...

Sai Bo,

Can I be the "Big sis" and be yr.listener? I think I should have enough experience to share with you in different aspects. E-mail or call me whenever you can spare some time for quality talk.
