to understand love, to feel the love, you have to speak the love language.
everyone is different.
each of us may need a different language at different situation.
u can use your language to treat others.
the key is: u need to speak that person's language so that s/he can understand your love.

Five Love Languages:

Word of Affirmation:
some people needs encouraging words

Quality Time:
it's not "togetherness"
it's the time you PAY ATTENTION to each other

Receiving Gifts:
it's not how much the gift worth
it's your heart that costs

Act of Service:
some people needs real actions.
more practical... do sth to show me your love!

Physical Touch:
pat on shoulder
hold hands
a big hug...
of cos... be careful not to fall into temptations!

have u let others know your language?
or you just keep speaking what u understand and ignore your lover's language?

Committment:
vision? future plan?

Accountability:
do u fall into "who's to blame"?
there's no longer "I" and no more "You"...
but "We"... as a whole

Relation:
have you thought abt how your relationship affecting how others view relationship?
and your next generation?

how to maintain a relationship?

Authenticity:
the importance of letting your partner know your trueself.
even if u recognize your weaknesses, doesn't mean that's the way u r.
you should be willing to change and compromise with your partner.

Trust:
trust is not sth u can ask for.
it's sth that you earn from your partner.

Conflict:
sth that you cannot avoid.
but thru it, u know yourself more.
to avoid conflict, pay attention to your partner's feelings.
address their problem but not ignore it.

saturday's workshop was fantastic!!!
i've learned a lot from it n i was a bit disappointed not to see many of us attended.
maybe the way of promotion.... it's actually not just target for "young" people.
but EVERYONE of us!!!

try to take out part of the material out and share here.

communication -

not blow water
not just talking or speaking
but through the conversation, you can understand the need for each other.
it is an expression of love.
it gives blessing and satisfaction.
it can avoid unnecessary conflict.
it strengthen the committment between one another.

Left eye Right eye

errrr....
alwayss felt sth stuck in my right eye.
n it was swollen after i wore contact eyes for two consecutive days.
i stopped. now it's fine.
i can somehow feel the "bump", that's what the optometrist guessed, if i look at a certain angle.
saw the eye doctor, he couldn't c anything.

my left eye has been a bit itchy for a couple of days.
i told the eye doctor n he gave me eye drop.
today, suddenly... there's a pimple growing on the lower eye lid!!!
errr.... i've probably looked at sth....... dirty...

to trust or not to trust

it's not what people tell u how trustworthy that is.
from what u experience in the past, determine your trust.
even though it has changed, improved...
and even your peers tell u that it's trustworthy, try it out,
u still hesitate coz of the past awful experience.
how can u get out of that n trust it?
give it a try?
i need courage..
what if it disappoints me again?
should i still try?... again and again?
or.. the conclusion is not trustworthy... FOR ME?
Plus, why should i try it but not trying other stuff?
trust... requires hope.... which... requires love...
w/ love, all things are possible.

back to the past

sth... just can't be removed.
when u look back, it still hurts u.
someone shares similar experience with you.
all the memories just come back.
awful.. to find out human's ugliness.
helpless... coz u find that's still affecting you.
do u still stuck there?
or that past experience just make u a better person?
or... u probably still need God to heal your heart...

was going to sleep...
very busy lately (finally)
writing thesis, cover letter, CV...
emotionally.. adapting to my dating life
physically... no exercise for a month. sleeping on the bus during seminars... n keep disturbing whoever sit next to me...
rarely talk to friends.. sorry abt that..
if u get to receive my email or phone calls?
you should thank God... haha!!

the campus is so crowded w/ people...
especially the bus stop area.
today... i saw her.... i felt like in the parking lot of any chinese mall in richmond....

cheezeee cakeee!!!

oh man...
was so excited for the department coffee time today as they r serving cheese cake.
lining up... looking forward... right! it's my turn... there's a plate... but.. where's the spoon or fork!?
man... i asked around.. n they seemed to bring their own utensils...
what!?
arr... so i went back to my lab...
alright.. glad that i have a spare table-spoon to use... which is... better than using my chopsticks for cheese cake...

i thought i was waiting in line to get food....
but then i was asked how much rice do i need...
i was surprised to have shepherd boy to serve me....
imagine... Jesus washes your feet.... feeling undeserved.... but.. i still accept it... =)

went to benson and ida's wedding today.
it was a sweet wedding @ a pretty church.
