me: 一個
examiner: 應該是兩個
my boss: 所有美國journal也是一個。就算你打兩個也會改做一個
examiner: 是嗎？我一向也是留兩個space都無問題
chair: 其實只要consistent便可以了，就算你留夠三個space也不是問題

I've finally found out the reason why I feel tired easily after walking a short distance.

我：即係那件物品有functional group
考官：咁即係點？
我：那些group可以轉做另一樣野而令到全件東西有不同的功用
考官：如果我將許多音符圍住個polymer來轉，那又是functional嗎？

考官：文中題及reasonable stability. 何謂reasonable?
我：即係經過一段時間才融化
考官：咁幾個月取得PhD是reasonable, millions years才取得又是否reasonable?

tuesday is the historical moment.... in my life: the PhD defense!

my slides are cut from 97 -> 55 -> 40 for a 30 min talk.

that's quite a cut and quite a waste.

anyhow... i have 2+ hrs for the question period....
