300 - the movie

me and honey spent 20 min, sitting on the couch at futureshop to watch the HD TV. It was playing 300. So, we end up renting the movie to finish it.

When my friend first talked about it, she said, of cos these guys will lose! They only wore swimming pants!

hahahah...

after i watched it, i actually admire the passion, courage, and loyalty of those soldiers! They are fighting for their family, for those who cannot fight, for the country, for sth right to do. Even the females are strong and stand firm. Especially for the leader, he let those who fear, hurt, leave them and tell the rest of the country about their story. His willing to sacrifice and his courage to protect his people, is something hard to find in the leaders nowadays. I was very touched by the story... even though it's very slow compared to those chinese kung fu movie.

We are the Pirates.... who don't do anything!

I went to the theater to watch "Pirates - who don't do anything" on the weekend. It's a good and funny movie that we enjoyed it very much!! I recommend whoever have kids, should bring their kids to watch! A terrific lesson on "Heroes"!

What I heard from the Cashier: We don't do anything?
Honey: Yes.
I (silent for 3 seconds): okay.... I heard you said, "we don't do anything..."

第一次見客。

第一次主動同客人握手。

第一次派卡片，不是給朋友，而是給客人。

感覺：我長大了！

我不能再跳跳蹦蹦扮cutey.（ 我畢竟也是個博士啊！）

選擇做lab, 就是不喜歡見客，與人打交道，總覺得同人握手難熟咁（又唔係發自內心的關心），好扮野。（要不來個擁抱吧！）

從來沒想過有朝一日自己會主動同人握力，但，感覺又不是很差。

感謝神我有ＶＰ照住，全個見客過程我也只是講了：hello! right.... thank you!（哈哈哈！想不到這樣就混過了！）

萬萬想不到一個博士會做一些ＯＬ, sales的工作，可惜嗎？

思想過後，我發現現在所學的，是學校學不到的人際關係，處事技巧，不能大意睇漏眼，點樣喺工作中做一個基督徒，唔係扮清高，唔係事事say yes，點樣應付其他同事們的催逼，點樣將Science put into practice. 解釋給客人聽。我，依然很熱愛我的工作。

感謝神，我有一個好上司，一個肯幫我一齊解決問題的好上司。

HAPPY Birthday

金錢不是萬能，但若金錢能買到令人快樂的東西，我想，這筆錢有時候也是值得花的。

看見ＬＬ這個開心的樣子，我就知道買起這個性感馬騮精是正確的決定。

i didn't have much feelings when i first heard that there's sth wrong w/ u. but the more i think abt it, tears just keep falling my heart. in the past, when u insist that i should chat w/ u on the phone because "not so with me", i just laughed abt it. but now, i know u r correct. i miss u. give me a call when u r back.

UTI

haha.. I am, better say wayne is, still organizing my grad pics. I was going to do sth with them yesterday but I was suddenly very sick. I suddenly got UTI yesterday and my body heat up to fight against that, ie fever. Early in the morning, 4am, I needed to go to bathroom but the urge to pee lasted for hours, ie your bladder feels very full all the time. It was painful and annoying that I couldn't fall back to sleep! I took herbal medicine in the afternoon. I feel a bit better as the "urge" slows down. Later, i am so afraid it'll go worse so I went to see a western doctor who opens on sunday, and gave me antibiotics. I kept drinking water, cranberry juice, and kept peeing and lying in bed for the rest of the day and night....

It was awful!!! what the story taught was, never hold your pee no matter how busy u r at work!!! it'll add up and your body will finally suffer from it....

p.s. I am surprised to see that the doctor on duty was my friend!!!! she started her medical school while i began my grad school. so happy to c her back and...healing me.. haha!!

First day of work

tired. what else can i say?

i look back how i arrive into this position. it is just amazing.

If i wasn't a polymer chemist, this company probably wouldn't have hired me!

If i wasn't "sor sor dei" applied for graduate school right after my BSc, and
if there wasn't an opening at my ex-supervisor's lab, i wouldn't have had the chance to become a polymer chemist.

If i wasn't tired of the technician job and wanted to search for job opportunities in hk, i wouldn't have gone to graduate school.

If i wasn't tired of studying, i wouldn't have had the chance to find a job related to polymer science.

If i did well in computer science courses in my 2nd year, i wouldn't have given up cs and major in chemistry.

If my F.6 teacher didn't make chemistry so easy for me, i wouldn't have done chemistry.

If there wasn't God, how would my life be? how would I view my life?
